Preliminary Report ADAC GT4 Germany Hockenheim

Walkenhorst Motorsport is highly motivated for the Hockenheimring

The two BMW M4 GT4s from Walkenhorst Motorsport will compete in the ADAC GT4 Germany finale at the Hockenheimring this weekend. The team from Melle still has a chance of winning the junior title.

Hockenheimring. The ADAC GT4 Germany season is contesting its finale this weekend at the Hockenheimring. The sixth station of the championship is traditionally held at the Motodrom and attracts thousands of spectators to the track every year.

With the driver pairings of Nico Hantke and Mex Jansen as well as Sami-Matti Trogen and Enzo Joulié, Walkenhorst Motorsport has already celebrated some successes in the series. Now it’s all about the final sprint for the title fight.

The BMW M4 GT4 #34, which is driven by Nico Hantke and Mex Jansen, is currently in third place in the junior classification with 133 points. This means the duo still has a good chance of winning. In the overall driver standings, the podium is still within reach with two races remaining.

Enzo Joulié, regular driver of the sister car with the #35, follows in fourth place in the junior classification with 109 points.

Now it’s time to end the ADAC GT4 Germany season with top results. The weekend could also be exciting due to the change in the weather. The current forecast suggests cooler temperatures and odd rain showers.

Sport1 broadcasts the races live. The sessions can also be followed via the ADAC Live Stream.

Sami-Matti Trogen: “I’m really looking forward to the season finale in Hockenheim. It’s great to race on this legendary GP track. I prepared intensively for this in the simulator. I will definitely enjoy the last two races of the ADAC GT4 Germany and have set myself the goal of finishing the season with a good result. We as a team have what it takes. The biggest challenge will be the unstable weather. But hey, it’s the same for everyone.”

Mex Jansen: “As we approach the final race of the 2023 ADAC GT4 Germany season at the Hockenheimring, I am very proud of how this season has turned out. We have had many challenges and successes this year, but I think we have exceeded expectations. Nico and my goal for this weekend is to secure an overall win for BMW, which hasn’t happened yet this season. Many thanks to all our partners – we will do everything we can to make this final race unforgettable!”
