Preliminary Report Fanatec GT World Paul Ricard

Walkenhorst Motorsport on the hunt for points at the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup in Paul Ricard

Thomas Neubauer, James Kell and Anders Buchardt will compete at Paul Ricard’s 1,000 kilometer race with the #35 Walkenhorst Motorsport car.

Paul Ricard. This weekend, the second of five rounds of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup will take place at Circuit Paul Ricard, France.

The international starting field consists of 57 vehicles, 18 of which, like Walkenhorst Motorsport, are entered in the Bronze Cup.

After the trio of Thomas Neubauer, James Kell and Anders Buchardt proved at the season opener in Monza that they shouldn’t be underestimated, the number of points in the #35 shall be further increased in the 1,000 kilometer race.

The Circuit Paul Ricard offers plenty of opportunities for exciting overtaking maneuvers over a length of around 5.791 kilometers and a race distance of six hours. The special thing about this event is that the start is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. and the racing teams therefore have to reckon with different track conditions due to the twilight and night driving time. Differences in temperature and visibility add even more excitement.

This race is also the dress rehearsal for the Crowdstrike 24 Hours of Spa, which will take place from June 29th to July 2nd. Walkenhorst Motorsport is currently in sixth place with the driver constellation in the team and driver rankings of the Bronze Cup.
