Walkenhorst Motorsport takes part in the DTM Trophy 2022!
Melle – March 3rd, 2022. Walkenhorst Motorsport will start in the DTM Trophy also in 2022 with
Theo Oeverhaus. After Theo’s DTM Trophy debut last season where he scored a total of three
podiums and also one overall win, he and the team will do everything they can to build on this
success in 2022. Theo will compete with the BMW M4 GT4 #34 in which he was able to gain initial
experience last year. Due to the long-standing relationship, the team and driver are already well
attuned to each other and the collaboration is very productive. The young talent forms the perfect
addition for the team in DTM Trophy to the two DTM starting drivers Marco Wittmann and Esteban
Muth. With these three drivers, Walkenhorst Motorsport can once again prove its skills this year and
fight for victories.
Theo Oeverhaus: “I’m very happy that I’ll be participating in the DTM Trophy with Walkenhorst
Motorsport again. My priorities are clearly to implement what I have learned from last season and to
be able to be at the forefront of the championship. I really enjoyed working with the team last year,
it feels like family, which is why I’m all the more excited to be fighting for podiums and victories with
them again.”
Henry Walkenhorst: “We are very proud of Theo and his development last year, that’s why it was
clear for us that we want to keep working with him. Theo is very young and there is still a lot to learn,
but he is very motivated and talented which will help him to achieve great results. The DTM Trophy is
a great opportunity for his career and we can’t wait to see him back on the podium in 2022.”
Melle – 03. März 2022. Walkenhorst Motorsport startet auch 2022 mit Theo Oeverhaus in der DTM
Trophy. Nach Theos DTM-Trophy-Debüt in der vergangenen Saison, bei dem er insgesamt drei
Podestplätze und auch einen Gesamtsieg erzielte, werden er und das Team alles daran setzen, 2022
an diesen Erfolg anzuknüpfen. Theo startet mit dem BMW M4 GT4 #34, in dem er bereits
vergangenes Jahr erste Erfahrungen sammeln konnte. Durch die langjährige Beziehung sind Team
und Fahrer bereits gut aufeinander abgestimmt und die Zusammenarbeit äußerst produktiv. Das
junge Talent bildet für das Team in der DTM Trophy die perfekte Ergänzung zu den beiden DTMStartfahrern Marco Wittmann und Esteban Muth. Mit diesen drei Fahrern kann Walkenhorst
Motorsport auch in diesem Jahr sein Können unter Beweis stellen und um Siege kämpfen.
Theo Oeverhaus: “Ich freue mich sehr, dass ich wieder mit Walkenhorst Motorsport an der DTM
Trophy teilnehmen werde. Meine Prioritäten sind ganz klar, das umzusetzen, was ich aus der letzten
Saison gelernt habe und an der Spitze der Meisterschaft stehen zu können. Ich habe es letztes Jahr
wirklich genossen, mit dem Team zu arbeiten, es fühlt sich wie eine Familie an, weshalb ich umso
aufgeregter bin, wieder mit ihnen um Podestplätze und Siege zu kämpfen.”
Henry Walkenhorst: “Wir sind sehr stolz auf Theo und seine Entwicklung im letzten Jahr, deshalb war
für uns klar, dass wir mit ihm zusammenarbeiten wollen. Theo ist sehr jung und es gibt noch viel zu
lernen, aber er ist sehr motiviert und talentiert, was ihm helfen wird großartige Ergebnisse zu
erzielen. Die DTM Trophy ist eine große Chance für seine Karriere und wir können es kaum erwarten,
ihn 2022 wieder auf dem Podium zu sehen.”
