The Dutch North Sea resort of Zandvoort will host the second ADAC GT Masters race weekend for Walkenhorst Motorsport.<\/strong><\/p><\/div>

Six weeks after the season opener at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben, the second ADAC GT Masters race weekend will take place. The GT3 series, steeped in tradition, will make a guest appearance on the world-famous dune circuit in Zandvoort as part of the DTM support programme. The technically demanding circuit is located just a few metres from the North Sea.<\/p>

\u00a0“As picturesque as the circuit is, the location is also treacherous. Due to its proximity to the sea and the beach, sand is constantly blown onto the track, which makes it very difficult for the drivers,” says Managing Director J\u00f6rg Breuer. “In general, the track in Zandvoort is technically very difficult. It has many fast corners, some of which are blind or go over crests. It is a real driver’s circuit that is a lot of fun for the drivers!”<\/p>

Walkenhorst Motorsport will line up with two Aston Martin Vantage GT3s at the first foreign outing of the 2024 ADAC GT Masters season. Mike David Ortmann and Denis Bulatov will share the #34 car, while US driver Chandler Hull and youngster Nico Hantke, who is competing in GT3 racing for the first time this year, will drive the #35 sister car.<\/p>

Hantke and Walkenhorst Motorsport are travelling back to Zandvoort with fond memories. Last year, they finished second together in the ADAC GT4 Germany at the circuit just outside Amsterdam! The drivers of car #34 also have fond memories of the circuit: Denis Bulatov won a race in the German GT4 Championship at the circuit in 2023, and his partner Ortmann even won both races in 2022!<\/p>

After an instructive start in Oschersleben, Bulatov and Ortmann currently occupy eighth place in the overall standings, with their team-mates Hantke and Hull following in thirteenth place. Walkenhorst Motorsport is fifth in the team standings.<\/p>

“We worked hard as a team in the weeks after Oschersleben to analyse our data and improve our package as much as possible so that we can take another step towards the top at Zandvoort,” added Niclas K\u00f6nigbauer, Managing Director Walkenhorst Motorsport. “A big thank you also to our entire team, who worked flat out after the 24-hour race at the N\u00fcrburgring last weekend to prepare our Aston Martin for the upcoming event!”<\/p>

The two ADAC GT Masters races will start at 15:15 on Saturday and 13:25 on Sunday. Sport1 will broadcast both races live on German free-to-air TV.
