Walkenhorst Motorsport with a podium and a top 5 result in the ADAC GT4 Germany<\/h1>

At the Lausitzring, Walkenhorst Motorsport was once again able to draw a successful conclusion from the race. With two remaining races, the junior championship is being intensively striven for.<\/strong><\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Lausitzring.\u00a0<\/strong>The fourth of six ADAC GT4 Germany events was tough. The Walkenhorst Motorsport drivers started in hot temperatures at the Lausitzring.<\/p>

In Saturday’s race, the driver pairing Mex Jansen and Nico Hantke with the starting number #34 was finally able to place in a great third place overall and thus once again reached the podium. The sister car with #35 and Sami Matti Trogen and Enzo Jouli\u00e9 finished in a good ninth place. This was preceded by an exciting race in which both vehicles were able to fight their way forward with action-packed overtaking manoeuvres. Nico Hantke even improved from fifth to third place in the closing stages after the safety car period.<\/p>

Within the team, the #35 with Sami Matti Trogen and Enzo Jouli\u00e9 was ahead of the sister car on Sunday. They crossed the finish line in fifth place and took valuable points with them. The second Walkenhorst Motorsport BMW M4 GT4, on the other hand, was unlucky. Nico Hantke already had contact with an opponent through no fault of his own in the first corner of the Lausitzring. The vehicle was so badly damaged that it had to be parked in the pits.<\/p>

A look at the overall standings shows that Nico Hantke and Mex Jansen are now in seventh position due to the retirement. Sami Matti Trogen and Enzo Jouli\u00e9 were able to move up to tenth place.<\/p>

All chances are still open in the junior classification as well. The drivers of the #34 are currently third, Enzo Jouli\u00e9 follows in fourth place.<\/p>

The next ADAC GT4 Germany weekend will take place from September 8th to 10th at the Sachsenring.<\/p>

J\u00f6rg Breuer: \u201cIt was a good weekend for our team. Unfortunately, due to the accident on Sunday, it was not entirely successful, but we were still able to achieve two top positions. For the next races at the Sachsenring and in Hockenheim we definitely have to improve our performance in qualifying. We still have some catching up to do here. The BMW M4 GT4 showed good balance and handling of the tires in the race. The tire peak in qualifying is still difficult to reach.
