Walkenhorst Motorsport stays loyal to DTM Trophy

Melle (March 16th, 2021). Walkenhorst Motorsport is participating again in the DTM Trophy. In addition to the DTM, the team also entered two BMW M4 GT4s in the Trophy. Walkenhorst already had great success and experience on this platform last year. Jörg Müller took on the role of the engineer and coach and will also accompany and support the team in the DTM Trophy in 2021 in addition to the NLS and the 24H race at the Nürburgring. One of the young drivers will be Chandler Hull (USA), who already started the season in Dubai and Abu Dhabi in the Asian le Mans Series with Walkenhorst and will also drive the GT4 at the Nürburgring. Walkenhorst Motorsport is also very proud to have Theo Oeverhaus (DEU), who has had a longstanding relationship with the team, in the other M4 GT4. The 16-year-old Theo will work with Chandler and Jörg on his own success story, the DTM Trophy, and lay the foundation for further steps in professional motorsport. Walkenhorst is convinced that the choice of the drivers in combination with Jörg Müller is a very good decision.

Niclas Königbauer, Teammanager: “We are very happy to be back again. 2020 was a great opportunity to gain experience. Also this year we want to offer young and talented drivers the great DTM platform. We will do our utmost best for our drivers. Jörg Müller is the best man for this knowledge transfer and for Chandler and Theo it is a great challenge. I can’t wait to watch the boys develop and be a part of it.“
